AltStore

AltStore is an application sideloader on iOS 14+ that uses Apple Developer Accounts for signing apps.

A standard Apple ID is only limited to 3 apps at a time, and must refresh apps every 7 days. However, you can pay $99 yearly for an Apple Developer Account to have unlimited apps and refresh every 365 days.

Please select your OS. (Windows selected by default)

Prerequisites

Enabling Developer Mode

Starting iOS/iPadOS 16+, all users are required to enable developer mode to install developer apps.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Scroll down to Privacy & Security.
  3. On Privacy & Security, scroll down to Developer Mode. Click enable.
  4. Your device may restart. Once enabled, proceed with the next steps.

Running AltServer

  1. If not done already, run setup.exe and run the AltServer installer.
  2. Connect your device into your computer. Ensure it is unlocked and trusted by your computer.
  3. Once complete, an app called "AltServer" should appear. Find "AltServer", and run as administrator.
  4. In the bottom right corner, click the tray and select the AltServer icon.
  5. Select "Install AltStore".
  6. Type in your Apple ID. Your login details will only be sent to Apple for verification and are not tracked by AltServer.
  7. Once done, AltStore should appear on your home screen.

Enabling Wifi-sync

  1. Open iTunes on your computer.
  2. With your device connected via USB, click "Enable Wifi-Sync".

Verifying Application

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to General.
  3. Scroll to VPN & Device Management.
  4. Open it and you will find a developer application.
  5. Click on it. Once opened, click "Verify App".
